More than two decade back the company introduced the first multiformat camera for use with Ultrasound scanners. Until then the multiformat cameras were imported and they constituted 50-70% of the total cost of Medical ultrasound facility- With the savings that the Indian made product brought in, it was possible for more and more healthcare providers to procure Ultrasound scanners.

The company went on to develop and manufacture the country's first Automatic multiformat camera. With the performance and the price that was less than half of the imported product. It was not surprising that larger medical equipment corporations in India like GE, Philips and Siemens started using Indian Made Automatic Multiformat cameras and discontinued the import of foreign made cameras.

Over the years many Indian manufacturers drew inspiration form Tonisha and started manufacturing Multiformat cameras in India but not surprisingly, Tonisha, while understanding its role of a torch bearer, continued to implement product improvements and quality standards .No wonder ... Tonisha remains even today the largest selling and most popular brand of the Multiformat cameras.

Simultaneously the company also developed some core technologies for local manufacturers of X-ray thereby making best use of its Engineering skills and innovations.

In 2005, Tonisha forayed into the development and Manufacture of Panoramic dental Radiography machines (OPG). Once again the company started the designing from the scratch by developing its own technology and using most of the material that were available locally. The company rolled out its first unit in April 2006 and has since then supplied OPG's to reputed Medical Centers & Dental College all over the county.
